Our Primary Services
Land Surveying
LCG Lantech has completed
- As-builts and Mortgage Surveys
- Boundary surveys
- Plot plans
- Topographic Surveys
- Building stake
- Platting and subdividing
In addition to the surveying services listed above, we also offer
We have extensive experience with as-builts and utility location surveys, topographic surveys, hydrographic surveys, project and network control surveys, earthwork quantities surveys and calculations, construction surveying and staking and quality control surveys and inspections. Several projects in Sitka that LCG Lantech has completed recently include platting for (Baranof Island Housing Authority) BIHA, design survey for Jeff Davis Street Water and Sewer Improvements project, and construction staking for Halibut Point Road.
In addition to these projects LCG Lantech has completed a wide variety of projects throughout the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta, Copper River Basin, and in Anchorage. These projects included Right of Way surveying and determination, design surveying, platting, construction staking, and the close out as-built drawings for completion of the projects. Recent platting tasks have included the subdivision of parcels, negotiating ROW acquisition, subdivision agreements with the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA), and negotiation with the State of Alaska (AKDOT) for Right of Way acquisition. The complexity of one of these projects, known as 409 Fireweed, involved the coordination of a wide variety of interested parties and time sensitive tasks, as well as the usual survey work. These tasks included the coordination of MOA and AKDOT improvements, coordination with a variety of utility companies including Enstar, GCI, Chugach Electric, and Anchorage Water and Wastewater, negotiating costs for road improvements as part of the subdivision agreement, and the creation of several unusual aerial utility easements. LCG Lantech successfully negotiated the title interest in the subdivision and completed the project in a very short time frame. The commercial building, 409 Fireweed was completed and open for business by the end of the summer of 2016.
Space Programming
LCG provides Programming and Space Planning services for all types of occupancies including medical clinics, community centers, schools, offices, government installations, retail establishments, restaurants and hotels. We listen to the users and develop conceptual schemes that improve circulation, functionality, space utilization, daylighting, and the security of the space.
Drafting Services
LCG staff provides drafting services to many organizations beyond construction documentation. Our most recent collaboration was with White Environmental Consultants, LLC. (WEC). WEC is involved in a multi-phase multiyear Asbestos abatement project on the campus at Providence Health Center in Anchorage. LCG provided drafting services to update two plan sets of the entire campus. These drawings show locations of testing and locations of abatement. They are used heavily for new construction projects that are ongoing throughout their facility.
Another project consisting solely of drafting services entailed updating the plan set of a UAF campus addition to Dillingham’s satellite Applied Science program. This project entailed taking the field set of drawings from Wolverine Supply, Inc. and updating the plan set to reflect the As-Built condition of the finished project.
With both types of projects, attention to detail and communication were critical for delivery of a successful project. LCG staff work conscientiously to provide the most accurate and concise documentation, in an efficient and expeditious manner.

Construction Phase Services
The LCG team routinely provides full construction services to meet the needs of our clients. Our construction management services can begin by handling the bidding process and carry through to project closeout. Through the entire construction phase, we pay close attention to maximizing communication and the flow of information to improve quality and reduce change orders, bottlenecks and complications. We encourage direct communication but also require physical records so that all items can be quickly addressed and easily tracked by the client, contractor and our team. Answering clarifications, reviewing submittals and providing design modifications area all processed quickly to give the contractor the flexibility to manage the construction schedule. To ensure projects progress properly our team performs well-timed site inspections to review construction quality over time. As a project comes to a close LCG’s team focuses on making the transition to owner occupancy quick and easy by creating meticulous punch lists, and working with the contractor on operations manuals and as-built record drawings.
Design/Build
LCG believes that Design/Build project delivery is an advantageous method of project delivery that can bring substantial savings and added value to the client. When the design team and the general contractor work together as a team there is the opportunity to streamline project schedules, value-engineer building systems, reduce construction budgets, control run-away project costs and bring value to the owner. Compressing the project just a few weeks can often shave a year from the project completion date, resulting in major cost savings and an earlier occupancy.
