St. Mary’s K-12 Campus Renovation Projects
LCG and RSA has designed several projects for SMCSD including a new gymnasium, new playground, Yup’ik classroom renovation, and complete renovation to existing elementary and high school buildings to cover structural and code compliance deficiencies as well as energy efficiency upgrades. The initial project included LCG’s recommendations to reconfigure classrooms and a create a stand-alone Yup’ik classroom creating a more functional childhood education environment. Replacing the lighting and heating/ventilation systems, as well as correcting many deficiencies, resulted in a safe and nurturing facility. The success of this project has led to the SMCSD selecting the LCG/RSA team for nearly 20 follow-up projects which includes housing and infrastructure projects and the recently completed Gymnasium addition that has emphasized the community’s cultural identity in a facility the entire village is proud to share with visitors.
